SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — A man was arrested in Texas in late November and charged with the production of child pornography after his “distinctive tattoos” led the FBI to locate him in Coleman.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas, 48-year-old Christopher Lynn Driskill was arrested on Nov. 26 and appeared before a U.S. magistrate judge on Dec. 3. This comes after Driskill, previously identified by the FBI as “John Doe 49,” was identified on Nov. 18.
The attorney’s office stated that, according to court documents, “a foreign partner referred child sexual abuse material posted on the dark web to the FBI’s Victim Identification Program” in July 2024. An “unknown male subject with several distinctive tattoos” could be seen “sexually assaulting a prepubescent male” in the videos.
The unknown man’s tattoos included “the word ‘DABBY’ on his chest,’ the number ‘197x’ on his left bicep, the words ‘CAST NO STONES’ on his left forearm, and a Texas flag in the shape of a head on his right forearm.”
It had previously been reported to the Coleman Police Department in September 2024 by a former dating partner of Driskill that he “had confessed, while intoxicated, to molesting a child and recording it.” Law enforcement met with the referenced child, “who did not make an outcry,” and interviewed Driskill, “who denied sexually abusing the child and claimed his former partner was mad at him over a bad breakup.”
The Coleman PD closed its investigation as no additional evidence had been found at the time. However, a recording of Driskill’s interview showed that Driskill had a “‘CAST NO STONES’ tattoo on his left forearm, a 1975 tattoo on his left bicep, and part of a Texas flag in the shape of a head on his right forearm.”
The attorney’s office reported that “meanwhile, FBI agents searching for John Doe 49 located a public Instagram account whose profile picture appeared similar to the images of the subject in the child sexual abuse material.” The account was traced to Driskill in Coleman, Texas.
Agents working alongside the Coleman PD learned on Nov. 22 “of the investigation into a possible molestation involving Mr. Driskill.” The agents compared footage of Driskill’s interview to the child sexual abuse material, with the attorney’s office stating that “the face and tattoos allegedly matched.”
The attorney’s office stated that, should Driskill be convicted, he may face up to 30 years in prison.
“A criminal complaint is merely an allegation of criminal conduct, not evidence,” the attorney’s office said. “Mr. Driskill is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”
